THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ADDING DYNAMIC STRETCHING EXERCISES TO BALANCE STRATEGY EXERCISES IN IMPROVING BALANCE IN THE ELDERLY

Background: As we get older, the ability to balance body is decreased, which will cause health problems because risk of falling increases. The effective exercise needed for elderly maintain and improve their body. Aims: This study aims determine effectiveness adding dynamic stretching strategy in improving elderly. Participants Methods: was a randomized control trial with total number 24 as subjects who were selected based on inclusion exclusion criteria then divided into 2 groups. Group 1 given exercise, group only. Exercise done 3 times week 6 weeks. Results: results data analysis using Paired Sample T-test showed that p<0.05 indicated there significant increase BBS score before after exercise.
